SYNOPSIS

Imagine, dear listener, a place in the stars inhabited by creatures much like you or I, save for one striking facial feature - a solitary eye. Now, if you will, consider the tragic story of Benz - born with two eyes into a cold, cruel world. He is cast out into space to die alone, a victim of the fear and ignorance of others. After years of solitude (for his only companion was the incessant chirp of the pod's control panel!). Benz crashes to Earth in a blinding flash of space light. Could this new world finally offer him a second chance for happiness, for acceptance? Or is this yet another deparate ordeal for Benz to endure? Frightened and alone, he reaches out...

LINER NOTES

THE CAST

Paige Smith, plays Bridget, a puff piece reporter who dreams of journalistic integrity and a chance to share her heart. The role is a new direction for Paige, best known in theater circles as the "queen of the fallen women," having played the lead prostitute in both "Godspell" and "Jesus Christ Superstar."

Dan Morrissey plays Benz, a drifting, freakish, two-eyed refugee from a one-eyed planet. The theater world is still buzzing from Dan's portrayal of Baby John in a 1986 production of "West Side Story" at St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, Massachusetts.

Ian Jones plays Boss, a tabloid trash peddler who steers his empire with his libido. Ian is best remembered for his searing portrayal of Gaston Le Chevre, the romantic lead in the Amard Encore production of "Gigi" in 1985.

Rob Christiansen plays Dwight, a brash, Boston bar owner with a streak of kindness and a tragic past. Rob once played trombone in the pit orchestra for the Marblehead High School production of "Pippin", while still in Junior High.
